Many of you will have noticed that this autumn has been a good one for colour with trees' leaves changing from monochrome green to a dazzling array of browns, yellows, and reds.
At time the trees look almost on fire in the autumnal sunshine.

Hob Hey Wood is a good place to look for autumn colour due to the wide range of species present in this ancient semi-natural woodland.
I've spent a few days in the wood trying to capture the autumn colours.

We're nearly at the end of the season for autumn colour but the wood is currently looking spectacular in parts.

All of the paths in the wood are carpeted in fallen leaves giving a beautiful, colourful backdrop for a walk (even if sometimes the path can be hard to see!)
If you get a chance, visit the wood in the next week or so, particularly if it's sunny. You won't be disappointed.
